East Moloka'i Sights
The Halawa Valley Road
The highway along Moloka'i's east coast turns into a Hana-esque switch-back laden route as you head towards Halawa Valley at the far end. Take your time along this route to stop at the Mapulehu Mango Grove and the view of Mokuhooniki (a nature preserve) offshore.

The road ends at a trail into the Halawa Valley. You'll need a guided tour to make it to the falls (unfortunely there was no tour when I was on the island).

Near the end of the road I took a moment to look at the ruins from the Halawa Congregational Church which was wiped out along with Halawa's taro farming community by the 1946 tsunami.
