Kaua'i's North Coast

Kilauea Point and Hanalei Bay

Kaua'i's beautiful northern coastline offers some great beaches with lots of snorkeling, sightseeing, and surfing opportunities.

I'd highly recommend visiting the Kilauea Point National Wildlife Refuge to get a nice piece of Kaua'i's history, as well as see the rough northern coastline dotted with albatross, blue-footed boobies, and other protected birds.

At Hanalei Bay on Kaua'i's north shore Derek took a day to practice his newfound surfing skills. This popular spot is great for beginners and experts alike as the wide bay provides a variety of different sized waves. You can rent surfboards right on the beach.
